Takeaway: The Bay Area housing market picked up noticeably from the April 2026 Market Report (March 2025-March 2026) to the May 2026 Market Report (April 2025-April 2026). More homeowners put their properties on the market, more buyers stepped forward, and homes generally sold faster. Alameda County remained steady in pricing, while Contra Costa County saw prices climb. San Francisco continued to lead the region, with rising prices, stronger competition, and the fastest sales pace. The biggest story is increased activity across all three counties—giving buyers more choices while rewarding sellers whose homes are well-prepared and properly priced.

Healthy Living Corner

I'm continuing to read Outlive: The Science & Art of Longevity by Peter Attia, MD with Bill Gifford. Dr. Attia states that when we eat less, our bodies stop constantly building and growing and switches into a "cleanup and repair mode" — which is exactly what slows down aging. There's a process called autophagy where your cells literally take out the trash and recycle damaged parts, and eating less triggers it. The big takeaway Attia makes is that how much we eat may actually matter more than what we eat. Bottom line: your body was designed to thrive a little hungry, and giving it a break from constant eating is one of the simplest longevity hacks there is. This is amazing.
