"Eloise made it work for me and I'm happy to the be the proud owner of a modest fixer upper in West Oakland - my new home for BBQing and work/live space. Looking for property is difficult in the Bay area, especially one near the last Oakland BART stop from downtown SF. It took a very dedicated and strategic approach to finding the ideal match. We started the process in Nov of last year and worked as a team. Some hurdles we faced were low inventory, unresponsive sellers, and those wanting CASH only. Not a good vibe to start the process. I was also determined to come in under $500,000 for a single family and in West Oakland (though I did look at other Bay area regions, housing types, and pricing considerations to justify my logic).
